What is the difference between high school dance ensemble and the pom and dance team?

Arleen Bussing: The best answer to your question would be to ask your guidance counselor or someone in your school. (maybe someone who's done it before). Not every school is the same. In my school, we have the regular cheerleading team. Our poms team is not really cheerleading for band, but it's similar. When the band goes out and performs, to keep everyone interested, the pom squad and twirlers will go out and dance. But they're not cheerleading. The dance ensamble team performs at events such as pep rallys, but they don't have pom poms or anything. But DEFINETLEY, ask your school! I can't speak for them :)...Show more
