Dalia Causby: sandstress77 must be an average village idiot. Her claim contradicts what a recent study of recalled toys show. MOST of the recalls were NOT because of lead-based paint. Recalls due to lead-based paint constituted only a small fraction of the recalls. Most of the recalls were for reasons related to the design of the toys, such as having small magnets. But most U.S. media outlets, working as the mouthpieces of the U.S. government, has tried to befuddle things by playing word games such as IMPLYING that all of the reasons for the recalls were related to manufacturing issues. That is false. While lead-based paint is related to manufacturing in China, most of the toy recalls were due to design related reasons that are not the responsibility of the manufacturer. Do! a search on yahoo or google for an article, one of the very few relatively objective ones, that was published on cnn or msnbc a while back. Kizzy Hett: Most of them have been recalled for lead-based paint. Aqua Dots were recalled because if ingested, they turn into a form of the date rape drug "GHB." It's awful!
